Let's be honest with each other: I never really pay any attention to this blog. And judging from the comments I've gotten in the past few months, Blogger seems to be getting a little spammy. Regardless, I figured I'd make an update because I'm here at home tonight while Rob is at the Anaheim Ducks game against the Predators. I am super jealous of him since there will be two guys in the game tonight who played on my college's hockey team while I was going to school there: Colin Wilson and Brandon Yip on the Predators. Nick Bonino, who started playing for my alma mater a year after I graduated, will also be in the game for the Ducks. Rob also got to go to this game for free so, needless to say, I am angry-jealous.
On the thesis front, I am disappointed to report that the battle is not yet over and I will be struggling with this monster for another semester. I'm trying to stay positive and hoping to find a job close to school so I won't have to keep dealing with this weird commute/hotel situation. And I need a job period.
I've been keeping busy over the winter break with some music blogging (thealbumexperience.wordpress.com) and much-needed family time (and dog time!). After winning three of my fantasy football championships, I decided it wouldn't hurt to join some free fantasy hockey leagues. A year ago my brain would have gone into Theta waves at the mention of fantasy hockey but this year I ended up managing seven teams. I can't do anything in moderation. I can't say I've gotten the hang of it yet but it's only the first week and I'm actually winning one of my head-to-head games. We shall see how it all pans out.
